Schema of the Event

The IV Congress of RIBIE will include the following types of activities or contributions:
Plenary Conferences

International specialists, invited by the Program Committee, will be in charge of these conferences.

Communications

Papers that deal with the topics of the Congress, for which the participant will be allowed 30 minutes for presentation and discussion. The minimum extension for these papers is 4000 words and the maximum 10000 words, including abstract and bibliography.

Demonstrations and Posters

These are less formal papers than the former and will be presented in special spaces dedicated to this function. The presenters should bring charts, posters, software and other material for demonstration. In addition to this, every presentation must be summarized in a written proposal or abstract that does not exceed 3000 words.

Panels

The name applies to sessions in which several experts debate on a controversial issue, which may last no more than 90 minutes. The panels will be proposed by the person who will be acting as moderator, by means of a written statement that does not exceed 2000 words. This includes the subject of debate, issues and questions. Participation is permitted for no less than 3 panelists and no more than 5, plus the audience. The proposal must be accompanied by letters from the panelists, indicating their acceptance to debate and compromise to attend, with a brief description of their curriculum vitae.

Workshops

These are training programs based on participation and practical activities, with or without computers, that will take place during a special schedule during the Congress so they do not interfere with the communications. Their maximum duration is 8 hours and the minimum 4 hours. Registration to workshops will be charged as a separate cost, not included in the Congress fees. Any specialist or group interested in proposing a workshop must send a plan or outline, with no more than 3000 words, including a copy of the materials that will be handed out to the participants. This material must be original, to avoid problems related to the copyright. Because of time constraints, it is strongly recommended that those who are interested in facilitating workshops send their proposals as soon as possible.
